WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:

24hr Emergency Callout Service
- Our regular business hours are from 8:00 A.M. through 5:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.
- All other hours are billed at the EMERGENCY SERVICE RATE of double the applicable hourly rate. There is no EMERGENCY SERVICE RATE charged if work is started before 5:30 P.M. If labor passes the 5:30 P.M. hour, the remaining time will be billed as Emergency Service.
- When charging an hourly rate, including extra work if necessary or on “time and materials” jobs, Main Street Electric will bill the home or business owner for only actual hours worked at the owner’s direction.

We asked Scott to price out a car-charging unit at our rental home, and I warned him that we would have to go to the landlord with the estimate to discuss any job. Scott gave a thorough appraisal of the house’s entire electrical system and told us what would be needed to set up the car charger. It went great. He arrived on time, replaced the existing light with a better quality light in the garage. He also put in a new outlet for the refrigerator/freezer which is in the garage. As stated above he replaced the sensor light in the garage with a better quality light because it was staying on low all the time which it should not have done.

I have used Scott for many years and know that I will always get quality work. When I moved into my new house I needed a larger light with a sensor put in my garage along with a new outlet for the refrigerator in the garage. It turned out the garage light was staying on very low all of the time. Scott ended up coming back and replacing it with another more expensive light with no extra charge.

This is a house that was built in the 60s, and they used to put the circuit breaker boxes in the most convenient place. We had it in our powder room on the first floor. Now the ordinances say that we cannot have it near water, so they were going to move the box for me and do some rewiring to make sure all the circuits were lined up. The problem I was having was that every time my wife ran the washing machine, the TV upstairs would lose its power. I was just trying to get all the circuits organized. They were nice. They were punctual; they came when they said they were going to come. They did not lollygag around. They gave me the estimate and then they left. They were knowledgeable and good at explaining what they could and could not do. Their estimated price was $2000. I did not have a negative experience with them. I would consider them for an estimate again.

We’ve been working with Scott and his team for over 15 years now. We live in a very old house, so there’s always something that either goes wrong or something new that needs to be installed.

When we first asked Main Street Electric to upgrade our BGE-supplied service to 200Amps all those years ago — he and his team took care of everything, I mean, everything). I never believed that we’d still be calling Scott from time-to-time with electrical consulting, wiring or outlets troubleshooting, and installation requests. The last being to install Smart home switches and outlets in all the rooms in our house.

When my wife’s mom got sick, we built an addition onto our home. Main St. was the company the builder used. We met with Scott the owner, who walked us thru all of our options. He was able to get hard to get parts and we were happy. His staff at the time were prompt and courteous. We were pleased with the job. Price for some other things was higher than other quotes we got, but they were available when we needed things done.

Company installed wiring, lights, and fans on an addition on our house. Also upgraded service from 150 to 200 amp. Staff was on time and did neat work. They ordered some extras (brass colored overhead light cones) that were difficult to find, did the interior and exterior wiring. We were pleased overall.
